Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.Īfter a long day of traveling, I would start off with a day of pampering. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. If you manifest that, you will attract the right clients. The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is to believe in yourself and know your worth. I think being a business owner, you are always learning. No client/vendor will have the same thought process or approach, and being able to work with distinctive tastes, thought processes and family dynamics is key. Some of the lessons I learned along the way is that no one personality is like another. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been using my love of design to create both large and intimate events - marrying creative experiences and the uniqueness of each client to curate signature events. In 2015, my love for details and exquisite experiences led me to event design, which is when Stacy Armand Events was born. I am always looking for, and to create, an experience! Cultivating concepts and beautifully executing them are my passion. I styled celebrity clients, shot fashion editorials, and created full production fashion shows. I also worked on a slew of commercials for brands like Aquafresh and Toyota. After Graduating in 2006 with a degree in psychology, I jumped into the industry by way of visual merchandising at establishments like H&M and Express, then by diving into television & film production. It was magical! During college, this love of design led me to fashion. I was fixated on Artists like Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, & Madonna (to name a few). I also had an obsession with musicians, music videos, production and performances. Like these rooms, I found myself in awe of everything designed beautifully.įashion entered my world by way of television, by various different runway shows, costume designs, and my mother’s monthly subscriptions to interior design magazines. She enjoyed curating beautiful rooms with novel pieces of furniture or décor. Growing up my mother had a keen eye for interior design. It’s rather simple to pinpoint how I got to where I am today professionally, and the source of my love for design. I love creating beautiful and heartfelt experiences that tell a story – The Story – I strive for my work to speak for me without me uttering a word. Before all else, the story is the canvas and the foundation from which I create. When I meet a wedding couple or a celebration client, I am drawn to all the details that tell their story. I’m excited when working with clients who have the same freedom - freedom to freely create in a non traditional way. My strong fashion sensibilities bring a fresh, modern feel to my designs and styling. If I can envision it, I can make it happen - I run wild with the depths of my imagination. I think what sets me apart from others is that there are no limits on what I can create. In addition, as Fashion Stylists, we are commissioned to do fashion shoots and editorials for Fashion Photographers, Brands and Small businesses. Stacy Armand Events is a New York based Luxury Wedding and Event Design Company. I have to constantly remind myself that l’m on the right path, doing what I love, and that I have the freedom to work towards my dreams and goals as a business owner.Īlright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally? I had to step out of my comfort zone and become more confident in myself and the decisions I make. I think taking the risk of going down the path of entrepreneurship, not having a stable job, or not knowing what each day or month is going to look like has definitely been scary, challenging, yet extremely rewarding, all at the same time. We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy Armand Patterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
